Tips
- Best times: late October through March when minus tides happen during daylight
- Check tide charts - go when tide is at zero or shows a minus
- Tours available via Birch Aquarium
- Wear sturdy non-slip shoes (no flip-flops)
- Take only pictures, leave only footprints
- In the Ecological Reserve (La Jolla Cove to La Jolla Shores), may not remove anything including shells
- Dogs not allowed on beaches Nov 1 - Mar 31 between 9am-4pm
